The Clay Modelling Competition..  

The event aims at Testing the imagination of students to apply their creativity and knowledge of aerodynamics to make a scaled clay model of an automobile.

 

General Rules:

Clay Modeling will be held in two rounds both of which will be held during INNOVA’10 at DTU.

  1. Prelims
    Each team is required to answer a questionnaire within the provided time limit. The top ten teams will be selected for the final round
    Time limit : 30 minutes

  2. Final
    The selected teams are required to use the resources provided to make a scaled clay model (length about 1.5 feet) of the outer body of an automobile with the finest possible detailing ( which includes aerodynamic curves, air vents, radiator, head and tail lights, wheel arches etc.) within the given time.



Judging Parameters :

The winners will be judged on the basis of

  • Aerodynamics,
  • Aesthetics
  • Genuineness of the model.

 

Rules and regulations:

  1. Undergraduates or graduate students can take part in this competition.
  2. Each team can comprise maximum of three students
  3. Judges decision shall be treated as final and binding on all.
  4. The organizers reserve all rights to change any or all of the rules as they deem fit. Change in any rule, if any, will be highlighted on the website.
  5. The competition contains two rounds - prelims and finals

  • Styrofoam (as an inner material)

  • Tools
  • Time limit : 5 hours

          Prizes worth INR 50,000 to be won.

  • Participation certificates would be awarded to all the scholars who have registered.
